President's Message

Club President's Welcome

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Tullahoma Website.

Let me start by telling you a little about Rotary and our local Club. Rotary International was founded in 1905, among the oldest service organizations in the world. The Rotary Club of Tullahoma, which received a provisional charter from Rotary International in 1921 and a full charter in 1922, is the second oldest service organization in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The Tullahoma Club is one of 65 Clubs in Rotary District 6780. The Club has 78 members representing a cross section of Tullahoma—scientists and engineers, doctors and healthcare professionals, retail owners and managers, bankers, attorneys, insurance and financial service consultants, educators, people who work in Tullahoma’s aviation and aerospace sectors, members of the media, local utilities, Tullahoma city government, Tullahoma Chamber of Commerce, retired government employees and military veterans.

The mission of Rotary is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.

Our motto is “service above self.”

Our values are based on the Rotary Four Way Test:

  1. Is it the truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”

Rotary International brings together a global network of volunteer leaders dedicated to tackling the world's most pressing humanitarian challenges. Rotary connects 1.2 million members of more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas. The work of Rotary Clubs contributes to improvements in the lives at both the local and international levels, from helping families in need in local communities to working toward a polio-free world.

Over the past ten years, the Rotary Club of Tullahoma has leveraged funds raised from our sponsors with donations from Club members, other participating Rotary Clubs, local, state, and Rotary Foundation matching-grants to fund around $225,000 in 54 humanitarian, community, and vocational projects.
